Congrats to our 3MT Francophone Partners!

Competitive. Exciting. Fun. That’s the description we’re hearing about the recent Ma thèse en 180 secondes competition. It took place during the Association francophone pour le savoir (ACFAS) conference at Concordia University in Montreal.

The first place winner was Sami Hached from École Polytechnique de Montréal. As you can see from the photo, Louise Hénault-Éthier from Université du Québec à Montréal received her second place award from CAGS Executive Director Sally Rutherford. She also got a bonus congratulatory hug from her young son. Third place went to Renaud Manuguerra-Gagné from Université de Montréal.

Next step for these winners is the international francophone finals. They will be held in September au Coeur des sciences de l’UQAM.

CAGS partners with ACFAS on the Three-Minute Thesis concept in order to create a Canada-wide competition open to anglophone and francophone students.
