Advice from a former Canada 3MT winner

picPractice, passion and a bit of humour if last year’s winner is any indication.

Western’s Joseph Donohue was and is committed to developing effective and economical technologies to bring clean drinking water to rural communities. You can find out more about that inspiring work in his acceptance speech (pdf) from last year’s awards ceremony.

The biochemical engineer is still involved in that project, travelling to China to explore commercial possibilities. You can bet that business trip put his 3MT pitch skills to good use.

He’s back in Canada now and will be emcee of the Ontario competition to be held at Western University on April 23.
